Our Non-Surgical Hemorrhoids Treatment for Women Over 40

Did you know that Hemorrhoids Are More Likely After The Age of 40?

The dynamics of rectal disease can be different for women, particularly those who have had children, suffer from constipation, or straining. Here at the Hemorrhoid Relief Center, we are extremely sensitive to the privacy of all of our patients. We understand the sensitive and personal nature of these conditions, and we are committed to providing a comfortable and personable experience for you. With our non-surgical treatment, these symptoms are easy to address.

Hemorrhoid Treatment Options

Many cases of hemorrhoids can be cured without surgery. It is possible to get the relief you deserve, quickly and easily by visiting the Hemorrhoid Relief Center. Our hemorrhoid banding is extremely effective. Do not agree to undergo a possibly unnecessary surgical procedure without first exploring our non-surgical hemorrhoid banding treatment.

Avoid Outdated Hemorrhoid Treatments

In many cases, hemorrhoid treatment with creams has proven unsuccessful in the long run. Thanks to hemorrhoid banding, this no longer needs to be the case. Pricy, painful hemorrhoid surgery should be avoided. Besides missing work, the surgery can be painful and lead to weeks of misery. Hemorrhoid banding is not the only alternative. Infrared coagulation (IRC), freezing (cryosurgery), lasers and doppler ligation are other non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment options. However, they are well-known for their high costs and pain. In some cases some of these procedures require anesthesia as well as a visit to the operating room.

We  know hemorrhoids can be embarrassing and painful to deal with. There is no reason to delay getting the hemorrhoid relief you deserve. So call us today to schedule and appointment and get back to the life you deserve.

Non-Surgical Hemorrhoid Banding Treatment

Our hemorrhoid doctors offer banding ligation, a non-surgical hemorrhoid treatment. Our patients are able to avoid a painful surgery and get relief from the pain, itching, and bleeding associated with hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid banding ligation treatment uses a sterile device to apply gentle suction to the problem area. The physician then places a small rubber band over the internal hemorrhoid. The band reduces the size of  the hemorrhoid and releases the pressure by cutting off the blood supply to the hemorrhoid. The band may fall off as soon as 48 hours after the hemorrhoid banding procedure. There are usually two to three banding sessions required at two week intervals.

This hemorrhoid treatment is relatively painless, since we are banding an area that does not have the type of nerves that sense sharp pain. Topical lidocaine may be used to help during the procedure. The hemorrhoid band is placed in a matter of seconds. During the first 24-48 hours, you may feel pressure or have a sense of fullness in the rectum. Over-the-counter pain medication can be used to relieve this feeling. Most patients are surprised by how quickly they feel relief from their hemorrhoids.

Occasionally, more bleeding than usual can occur after the hemorrhoid banding procedure. This is often from the untreated hemorrhoids rather than the banded one. If there is more than a tablespoon or so of blood than please call your doctor immediately. Lie down, drink water, and apply ice to the area. If you feel faint or if the bleeding does not subside within a few minutes head to the nearest emergency room. This bleeding can be due to an ulcer that occurs after the band falls off. You may want to call 911 if necessary.

What To Expect From Your Hemorrhoid Treatment

Your first office visit at the Hemorrhoid Relief Center will include a consultation, possibly sigmoidoscopy/anoscopy, and initial treatment of your condition. You will be shown how the hemorrhoid banding procedure works and have time to go over any questions for the doctor. If needed, your first banding session will be done the following visit. There are usually two to three hemorrhoid banding sessions required at three week intervals with a final check-up a few weeks later.

Our hemorrhoid treatment will be quick and relatively painless. You will even be able to drive yourself home and return to regular activities the following day. There is no special preparation needed, and you can eat as you would normally.

Following your hemorrhoid treatment, rest at home and resume regular activity the following day. You may experience a feeling of fullness or pressure in the rectum for the first 24-48 hours, but over-the-counter pain medication may be taken if needed.
